WHO ARE WE?
We are a not for profit public charitable organization named SOCIAL SOLIDARITY. This charity has been created to respond to the plethora of challenges now facing Georgian society. The complicated and challenging socio-economic and environmental problems force us into now needing to make innovative decisions.
Whilst our organization was registered only recently, it's founder members have over twenty years of relevant experience in both the public and charity sectors.
OUR OBJECTIVE
To harness the latest scientific knowledge for the benefit of all.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
To initiate the necessary processes leading to sustainable development in Georgia. Develop and monitor an environmentally friendly, economically strong and socially balanced society.
Specific objectives:-
- Educational activities in the fields of social, socio-ecological and so socio-economic studies.
- Sociological research on the recommendations emanating from the studies referred to above.
- Stimulating innovative solutions in the areas of social organization, focusing on innovative activities and products.
- Social integration of socially disadvantaged and disabled persons.
- Promoting women's rights
- Creating a healthy lifestyle with appropriate recreational facilities and activities.
- Promoting social entrepreneurship, business incubators, techno parks and other activities that are effective in stimulating social enterprise.
- Development of the countryside in a fashion that would be acceptable and appealing to both families and the socially excluded.
-A healthy and productive living environment employing green construction standards.
- Healthy food production and accessibility to it by all levels of society.
- Sustainable development of Georgia's natural resources.
- Assistance to vulnerable people and those affected by natural disasters and wars.
- Encourage and assist the socially disadvantaged and disabled members of society to develop their abilities.
- Sustainable development of mountain hamlets to reverse the urban migration process.
- Encourage and stimulate economic activity and development in rural areas
- Promote cottage industries in rural areas, including tourism and using social media to promote their appeal and attraction to visitors.
- Integration of Georgia into the international environmental programs.
- Establish thematic exhibitions, conferences, seminars and forums.
- Advocate to establish appropriate legislation in Georgia to promote social solidarity and protection of the environment..
